Basic Human Rights Policy

 

In alignment with the Company’s philosophy and business ethics, Orico Auto Leasing (Thailand) Ltd. (the “Company”) hereby establishes this Basic Human Rights Policy as a framework for the Company, its employees, and all relevant parties to respect, protect, and promote human rights in accordance with internationally recognized standards.

Article 1 Principle

The Company recognizes that respecting human rights is a fundamental responsibility of business organizations. The Company is committed to operating in accordance with internationally accepted human rights and labor standards, including:

  • Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
  • ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
  • United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs)
  • United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)

The Company is committed to conducting its business with respect for human dignity, equality, and fairness in all operations.

Article 2 Employees, Customers, and Business Partners

  • 1. Employees

The Company requires all employees to act with respect for human rights. The Company strictly prohibits child labor, forced labor, discrimination, and harassment in any form, particularly discrimination based on nationality, race, age, ethnicity, religion, gender, or disability.

The Company provides a safe, suitable, and healthy working environment, along with support systems to address work-related concerns. The Company also protects employees’ privacy and promotes a culture that encourages respect for the rights of others.

  • 2. Customers

The Company serves customers with integrity, fairness, and transparency. The Company appropriately manages and safeguards customers’ personal information and strictly complies with Market Conduct guidelines, relevant laws, and regulatory requirements to prevent violations of customer privacy or misuse of superior bargaining power.

The Company is mindful of potential human rights impacts arising from its services and implements measures to prevent and mitigate such impacts

  • 3. Business Partners

The Company seeks cooperation from affiliates, service providers, contractors, and suppliers to respect human rights in alignment with this Policy.

The Company maintains a fair and transparent process for selecting contractors and suppliers and provides equal opportunities for all. Human rights considerations are included as key criteria for evaluation, selection, and assessment of potential business collaborations or joint investments with business partners.

Article 3   Governance

The Company establishes governance mechanisms to promote initiatives for respecting human rights and regularly reports progress and outcomes to the Board of Directors.

Article 4   Human Rights Due Diligence

The Company conducts Human Rights Due Diligence to identify, assess, and manage actual or potential human rights impacts arising from its business operations and implements measures to prevent and mitigate such impacts.

The Company integrates human rights considerations into its risk management system, covering sales processes, credit granting, debt collection, and new business relationships. The Company also identifies stakeholders who may be affected and enhances transparency and accountability by incorporating human rights principles into relevant internal policies and procedures.

Article 5   Remedy and Corrective Measures

The Company maintains mechanisms to receive concerns and complaints relating to human rights. If the Company’s business operations cause or contribute to human rights impacts, the Company will take appropriate corrective and remedial actions in a fair and responsible manner.

Article 6   Education and Awareness

The Company provides training and awareness programs to ensure that all employees understand, respect, and comply with this Policy.

Article 7   Monitoring and Disclosure

The Company continuously monitors and evaluates implementation of this Policy and reviews or revises the Policy as necessary. The Company will disclose this Policy, including relevant actions and measures for respecting human rights, through the Company’s official website and other communication channels as appropriate.

Article 8   Receiving Complaints and Whistleblowing

The Company has established a whistleblowing channel for human rights and labor rights concerns through the “OALT Helpline”. This channel enables employees and related parties to report actions that may violate laws, policies, or procedures concerning human rights.

The Company ensures that whistleblowers and related individuals are protected from retaliation in all forms. Reported matters will be monitored, investigated, and verified, and the progress and outcomes will be communicated to the whistleblower and relevant committees.
